The Notre Dame Irish are looking to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament, and as long as they keep playing like they are now they could go far.

March Madness is here, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are looking to make a deep run in their region — if they can make it past the first weekend of play. That’s something that Demetrius Jackson is trying to ensure, as he’s playing out of his mind for the Irish and turning in some highlight plays.

One of those highlight plays saw him change a fastbreak transition into one of the earliest March Madness highlights of the weekend.

Notre Dame’s Demetrius Jackson not only went behind the back with a crossover, but he dished it for an insane basket to extend the Irish lead.

The Irish are favored to make it pretty far in the tournament, and seeing plays like this are wildly encouraging to their chances. making so much out of a fast break is one thing but to make it happen as flawlessly as it happened thanks to Jackson’s play is just hot to watch.

Notre Dame may not be destined to win the entire tournament, but they’re no doubt coming out hard in the first weekend and will be a tough team to beat if they keep playing like this.
