Updated NCAA Tournament bracket: Iowa advances over Davidson
By Jack Crosby
A lot of folks picked Davidson to move on in the NCAA Tournament over Iowa, however it didn’t quite work out that way
If there was one potential upset that people picking headed into the second round of the 2015 NCAA Tournament, it was for Davidson to go in as the No. 10 seed and take out No. 7 seed Iowa. There were some people that were sure this would be the case.
Well, things didn’t quite work out that way and when it was all done, Iowa advanced on in the NCAA Tournament for 2015.
Actually, for the most part, this one was not even close and Iowa pretty much rolled the potential Cinderella in Davidson. Now that was something else a lot of people didn’t predict, but Davidson really just had a cold shooting night at the absolute wrong time. Because of that, their NCAA Tournament run is over.
For Iowa now, though, they’re advancing for the first time in 14 years and they’ll now await the winner of Gonzaga and North Dakota State, which will be played later on Friday night.
Here is a look at the updated bracket after the Iowa win on Friday.
