The most watched soccer fixture of the season is nearly upon us when Barcelona and Real Madrid square off in El Clasico.

One of the biggest rivalries in world soccer is coming to ahead when Barcelona take on Real Madrid in the Camp Nou. This is one of the bigger games of recent years as Barcelona are one point ahead of their bitter rivals, a win for either team will go a long way to deciding the league champions.

Barcelona are coming off of a fantastic performance against English champions Man City in the Champions League round of 16. They put in a display that gave the impression they’re back to their best, with superstar Lionel Messi giving a 10 out of 10 performance.

Real Madrid have come under some pressure of late, with manager Carlo Ancelotti taking most of the heat. It is widely rumored that a loss to arch rivals Barcelona would see him lose his job, considering a loss to Barcelona would all but hand them the league.

Madrid’s problems have been well reported with a shaky defense and a rift between Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, things aren’t going great for the Spanish giants. A win agaisnt Barcelona would re-ignite their season and serve as a huge confidence boost going in to the business end of the league.
