Not many people expected UCLA to crack the field after going 20-13 in the regular season and Pac-12 conference tournament, but here they are and halfway to the Final Four. Meanwhile, Gonzaga is a team that many expected to be here in the regional semifinal where they’re 1-3 in program history.
They’ve lost their last three games in this round, but this year could be different with the Zags boasting the nation’s No. 10 scoring offense, rank sixth in assists and lead the country with a 52.4 field goal percentage en route to a 34-2 record. Their two losses were both three-point losses, including an overtime loss at Arizona.
