Despite being arrested recently for a DUI, the Baltimore Ravens still have a visit scheduled with Florida State cornerback P.J. Williams.

With the NFL Draft just weeks away, teams are scheduling visits with potential prospects to get a closer look at the player and to get to know them better.

One of the players the Baltimore Ravens have coming in for a visit, is Florida State cornerback P.J. Williams.

Williams was a key part of the championship team the Seminoles had in 2014, and he was named the MVP of the 2014 BCS National Championship Game.

Friday morning, Williams was arrested and charged with driving under the influence in Florida. Williams also drove a rental car on a suspended license.

Despite the arrest, the Ravens still have a visit with Williams according to Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun.

"One reason NFL teams meet with draft prospects is to have more time to get to know a player and evaluate their character and personality. The Ravens have previously met with Nebraska pass rusher Randy Gregory, one of the top draft prospects. Gregory has acknowledged testing positive for marijuana at the NFL scouting combine."

It makes sense for the Ravens still to have a meeting set up with Williams, as the cornerback has immense talent and it gives the team a better opportunity to see if this was one-time incident with the cornerback.

Back in February, Williams ran a 4.57 40-yard dash at the combine, which was slower than many expected. Still, he outperformed on other drills, such as the vertical leap, bench press and broad jump.

It will be interesting to see if the arrest of Williams will affect his draft stock as some analysts expect him to be drafted in the first-round because of his physical style of play and his athletic ability.

Williams certainly isn’t the first athlete to be arrested for driving under the influence, but there is absolutely no excuse for it, especially less than a month before he could potentially drafted high in the draft.

Hopefully for Williams, he can regain draft stock as he visits with teams ahead of the draft.

At the combine, Williams said he expects to be draft high amongst the cornerbacks available in the draft.

"“I definitely think somewhere at the top,” Williams said at the combine when asked where he rates among the other cornerbacks. “Hopefully, I’ll go as high as I can. Because of my physicality and the cornerback position, and being athletic enough to run with wide receivers and with me having the ability to make a lot of tackles.”"

The Baltimore Ravens are looking to upgrade their secondary as they look to dethrone the Patriots in the AFC, along with staying atop a competitive AFC North.

When they visit with Williams, they will be able to determine if he is the piece they need on defense.
