Duke was expected to be here after earning a No. 1 seed for their play during the regular season and were a popular pick in NCAA Tournament brackets to get to the Final Four, if not to the national championship game, but the No. 7 Michigan State Spartans weren’t expected to get this far.

The Spartans had their moments this year where they looked capable of making a deep run in the tournament but there were serious questions if they could put a stretch together to live up to those hopes. Credit head coach Tom Izzo for the Spartans making it this far, because the seventh Final Four trip in his career may be his most impressive.

Saturday’s game should be a great chess match between Izzo and Krzyzewski with the winner advancing to the national championship where they’ll play the winner of the game between Kentucky and Wisconsin.
