Michigan State beat No. 10 Georgia in the second round and knocked off No. 2 Virginia to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. From there, Izzo led his team to a four-point win over No. 3 Oklahoma and needed overtime to beat No. 4 Louisville by six to advance to the Final Four.
They’ve beat a No. 2, 3 and 4 seed and now they get their first chance at upsetting a No. 1 seed when they meet No. 1 Duke where Izzo will match wits against Mike Krzyzewski who is in the Final Four for the 12th time in his career to tie John Wooden for the most of all-time.
One great coach will continue their run for another shot at a national championship while the other will have their run come to an end.
