Kentucky heads into this matchup fresh off of arguably its biggest test of the season. The Wildcats squeaked out a 68-66 victory over Notre Dame in the Elite Eight last Saturday. Â Kentucky will certainly need to play at a higher level than they did against the Fighting Irish if they want to advance to their second consecutive National Championship appearance and keep their historically great season alive.
On the other side, Wisconsin took out a tough Arizona Wildcats team 85-78 in the Elite Eight to reach this point. Heading into this tournament, the Badgers were regarded as one of the few teams that had a realistic shot to knock out Kentucky. Well, now they’ll get their shot at playing John Calipari’s super team.
