Sunday night we will see the best of the best in the world of women’s college basketball, which must mean that it’s time for the Final Four. In the first game of the evening on Sunday, we’re going to see a tremendous match up between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and South Carolina Gamecocks.
South Carolina comes in as a team that a lot of people have high hopes for. They proved their worth in the Oklahoma City Regional title game in their last outing when they put on an impressive showing against a very good Baylor team. They more than justified their No. 1 seed, and they’re looking to make this first trip to the Final Four a memorable one.
Notre Dame, though, will be a very tough task for this South Carolina team, as they come in with a record of 35-2 on the year and are champions of the Greensboro Region. In their last outing, they were able to outlast a very talented Florida State team, and they now have their sights set on a national title.
