An Alabama fan dropped a “Roll Tide” on Antiques Roadshow proving that Crimson Tide fans are everywhere.

When you’re inside Bryant-Denny Stadium on a Saturday afternoon watching the Alabama Crimson Tide you know you’re going to hear “Roll Tide” a few hundred times — in the first quarter — because it’s almost like saying “hello” or “goodbye” in the Alabama lexicon.

There are a few places you’d never expect to hear that phrase, however, such as Jordan-Hare Stadium, home of the Auburn Tigers, unless you want to get into a fight or on a TV show like Antiques Roadshow.

Filming the show in Birmingham, AL opened the door for an historic event on the latest episode of the PBS show where people bring in their household treasures and see how much it is appraised for and if they can make a mini fortune by parting with their antique.

One guest on Monday’s episode had a New Deal poster he wanted to get appraised and even though it wasn’t in pristine condition, it was a very rare historical item that has been authenticated, so when the appraiser said it could fetch between $2,000 and $3,000 there was only one way for the guy to react.
