As one of the best up-and-coming players in college football, Ohio State’s Cardale Jones has earned the right to poke fun at Notre Dame’s quarterbacks.

Leading the Ohio State Buckeyes to the 2014 National Championship, Cardale Jones made quite the name for himself. Not having started a game all season and throwing just 17 passes, Jones started the Big Ten title game and won, then the Sugar Bowl and then won the national title. Yes, three games and three huge wins.

It wasn’t until after the national title victory that people started to talk about the pro potential that Jones possessed. With a strong arm and solid accuracy, to go along with a decent ability to run, Jones looked like one of the best quarterback prospects of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Jones decided to return for his redshirt junior season, however, and the Buckeyes became instant championship favorites once again.

Ohio State, however, has a bit of a quarterback dilemma on its hands. On one side, you have Jones who has the incredibly strong arm and led the team to three clutch wins and on another, you have J.T. Barrett who started most of the year and accounted for 2,834 yards and 34 touchdowns through the air. Barrett also added nearly 1,000 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground.

Oh yeah, and the Buckeyes have former starter who led the team to an unbeaten season two years ago and who missed all of last season with an injury, Braxton Miller.

In a recent interview during spring practices, Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly told reporters that he would take his quarterbacks, Everett Golson and Malik Zaire, over Ohio State’s three-headed monster.

While every coach is basically expected to say that they would take their own quarterbacks over another team’s, Cardale Jones wasn’t too impressed.

There you have it, Cardale feels bad for Brian Kelly and Notre Dame because his quarterbacks are, well, not Cardale, Braxton and Barrett.

A reporter said to Cardale that sometimes when you have two quarterbacks, you have none. Jones responded in the best way possible: “Sorry for Notre Dame, then, cause we have three.”

Cardale is a pretty confident guy.
