Bayern Munich celebrates with fans after win over Porto
Following Tuesday night’s 6-1 drumming of FC Porto, Bayern Munich players celebrated with fans in the stands.
What’s sweeter than celebrating a win of your favorite team? Celebrating a win with your favorite team.
Bayern Munich players celebrated with fans in the stands, leading them in songs and cheers, following the team’s 6-1 win over FC Porto. After the game, with his teammates kneeling on the field, Bayern’s Thomas Muller, who has spent 60 percent of his life at Bayern, grabbed a megaphone, climbed the fence behind the goal, and lead the fans and his teammates in celebration.
The emotion shown here, both by the fans and the players, is incredible.
Both parties had a lot to celebrate. With the win, Bayern Munich advanced to the Champions League semifinals.
As a fan, there is nothing better than being recognized by the players of a team you love. Fans invest time, emotion and money on their favorite teams, so, when the players actively recognize and thank fans for their support, it means a lot. Ask a fan what his or her favorite sports moment is and, more than likely, the answer has to do with a big win or a personal experience with a player.

After sweeping the Angeles in ALDS last season, Kansas City Royals players invited fans to a downtown bar to celebrate with the team.
Once he arrived at the bar, Royals star Eric Hosmer pulled out his credit card and bought drinks for everyone in attendance. While the bar tab for Hosmer and his teammates totaled $12,000, the memories they gave the fans were priceless.
While the Bayern Munich players did not buy rounds of drinks, it was still an awesome gesture. One that the fans in attendance won’t soon forget.
Let’s see how they celebrate if and when they make it to the finals. More than likely, Muller will be the one leading the festivities.
