Here are my FanDuel pitcher picks for April 26:

High Priced ($8,000 and up):

Best Bet:

Lance Lynn ($8,600): Starting anyone against Milwaukee lately has been a good bet. Mike Fiers has pitched pretty well so far, but Lynn has bordered on dominant so far with a 1.56 ERA and 20 strikeouts in three starts. Taking him against the struggling Brewers is a sound bet.

Honorable Mention:

Chris Archer, Rays ($8,500): Wins have been hard to come by for Archer because the Rays aren’t scoring runs, but his numbers are impressive. He has a 1.07 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 25.2 innings pitched. It’s a tough matchup against Toronto today, but the Rays have done pretty well against Mark Buehrle as a whole. Archer could break through with a win today.

Stay Away:

Carlos Carrasco ($8,800): Carrasco can be a dominating force on the mound, but he has been pulled from each of his last two starts. Add to that the fact that he is going against a very good Detroit lineup, and I won’t touch this one.

Mid Range Options ($7,000-$7,900):

Best Bet:

Anthony DeSclafani ($7,800): His start yesterday was rained out, so he will take the mound this afternoon instead. This is still as good of a matchup as it was yesterday. Jake Arrieta has pitched well this year, but the Reds did pretty well against him back on April 14th. DeSclafani outpitched him that day, and is a great candidate to do it again.

Honorable Mention:

Hector Santiago ($7,100): Santiago is 2-1 with a 2.45 ERA so far this year. The problem is that Texas has hit him fairly well in his career. Do you go with past history or with what Santiago has done this year? I will let you be the judge of that.

Stay Away:

Wade Miley ($7,300): The current Orioles have hit .326 off of Miley in his career. Everth Cabrera is hitting .476 off of Miley in his career. He has a good matchup against Bud Norris, but I see a high scoring game, and am not will to take the hit of what Miley might give up chasing a win.

Bargains ($6,900 and under)

Best Bet:

Nick Martinez ($6,600): Martinez has been nothing short of brilliant so far this year, posting a 0.45 ERA. He did part of that damage against the Angels back on April 14th. He racked up 12 FanDuel points in that game, which is a great bargain for his price if he can pull it off again.

Honorable Mention:

Roenis Elias ($6,300): Elias is making his first start of the season because of Hishashi Iwakuma landing on the DL. Elias was partially successful last year with the Mariners, and has a nice matchup on tap against the Twins. That said, he has been knocked around at AAA thus far, so there is some risk involved. Still, it’s the Twins.

Stay Away:

Tim Lincecum ($6,300): Lincecum has done pretty well so far this year, but I am still a little apprehensive. And there is no way that I am trusting him at Coors Field. There are better options.

Good luck today everyone!
