Here are my FanDuel pitcher picks for April 27:

High Priced ($7,200 and up):

Best Bet:

John Lackey ($7,400): Lackey was knocked around a little in his last start, but tonight he gets the Phillies. Lackey has dominated the current Phillies lineup with the exception of Ryan Howard, who is off to a slow start anyway. The stars may be lining up for Lackey to put up a really good point total.

Honorable Mention:

David Price ($11,000): Price was roughed up by the Yankees in his last start. Redemption comes in the form of the Minnesota Twins. The Twins have struggled all season, and Price is a strong candidate to get a win. Tom Milone has done pretty well, but he hasn’t faced a lineup like the Tigers. Price is a great option if you can afford it.

Stay Away:

Cole Hamels ($9,300): Hamels has done fairly well against the Cardinals in his career, but I don’t trust him here. Not with the Phillies lacking the ability to score runs. Hamels may have a good game, but I just don’t trust it enough to bet on it.

Next: Let's Check Out The Mid Range Options

Apr 4, 2015; Phoenix, AZ, USA; Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher

Jimmy Nelson

Middle Priced Options ($6,500-$7,100):

Best Bet:

Jimmy Nelson ($7,100): Nelson has pitched well despite his 1-2 record. His problem is the Brewers and their lack of offensive firepower. The Reds are a solid team, but Jason Marquis likes to give up runs. Nelson has been solid all season long. I will take Nelson any day.

Honorable Mention:

Yovani Gallardo ($7,100): Gallardo has dominated the current Seattle lineup, holding them to a .167 average in 66 at bats. The Rangers can definitely score enough runs to help Gallardo get the W against the light hitting Mariners.

Stay Away:

Ubaldo Jimenez ($6,600): Ubaldo came crashing back down to earth in his last start. The current White Sox are hitting Jimenez well to boot. This is probably one that is best left alone from both sides. Hector Noesi is not exactly a dominant pitcher either. There is a strong chance that this one is decided by the bullpen.

Next: Who Are The Best Cheap Options?

Apr 15, 2015; San Francisco, CA, USA; San Francisco Giants starting pitcher

Tim Lincecum

Cheap Plays ($6,400 and under)

Best Bet:

Tyler Matzek ($5,500): Matzek has pitched pretty well so far this year. Weather postponed his start yesterday, so he gets to take to the hill against the Diamondbacks in Phoenix instead of at home. That makes him a nice option if you want the best bats money can buy.

Honorable Mention:

Tim Lincecum ($6,300): Lincecum’s last start was also in L.A. against the Dodgers and Brett Anderson. Lincy earned the win in that one en route to 14 fantasy points. If he can pull it off again, you have a great chance to win some money.

Stay Away:

Hector Noesi ($6,100): Noesi has not been able to go six innings in a start yet this year, which severely limits his ability to get good points in FanDuel. Add to that the fact that he has to deal with the hot-hitting Orioles, I can’t say far enough away from this one.
