Paul Pierce pounds glass at Capitals vs. Islanders game (Video)

The NHL Playoffs and NBA Playoffs are overlapping right now, and Paul Pierce is getting the best of both worlds in Washington this summer.
Paul Pierce loves supporting his local sports franchises, as that’s been true dating back to his years with the Boston Celtics where he had to mooch off the winning ways of the Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins.
But things are finally going well in Washington — at least as far as the sports scene is concerned. The Washington Wizards are awaiting their second round opponent and are on a break right now, while the Washington Capitals have advanced to the second round of the NHL Playoffs.
How did the Capitals fair against the New York Islanders? Just ask Paul Pierce — he was glass-side for Game 7.
Now that he has some down time after sweeping the Toronto Raptors in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, Paul Pierce decided to support the local hockey team and pounded some glass at the Capitals game on Monday night.
The Wizards have some serious downtime ahead of them, as the Brooklyn Nets tied up their first-round series against the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night and will be playing at least six games to finish things up.
Washington has already punched their second round ticket, and are waiting on the winner of that Hawks-Nets series, but punching tickets to the second round of the postseason is apparently just what you do in Washington.
The Capitals are off to face the top seeded New York Rangers in the second round of the NHL Playoffs and Paul Pierce is going to patiently wait for which NBA team will meet him and his trolling ways in the Conference Semifinals.
