Most of the Thursday action takes place during the evening, so there are far more choices for the evening tournaments than there are for the early ones. Who are the best options on getaway day? Let’s find out!

Here are my late FanDuel lineups for April 30:
Pitchers:
Best Bet:
Shelby Miller, Braves ($8,400): Miller has pitched very well against the Reds since he was with the Cardinals. Current Reds hitters are only hitting .219 off of him in 96 at bats. He has a great chance for a win with Mike Leake opposing him so long as he can keep the Reds hitters at bay.
Honorable Mention:
Stephen Strasburg, Nationals ($9,200): Strasburg has struck out 31 Mets in 102 official at bats. Jacob deGrom has pitched well so far, but he got tagged a little in his last outing. Meanwhile, Strasburg has rebounded nicely from two poor starts at the beginning of the year. He is a good candidate for a win and a lot of strikeouts. The two Mets that have hit him best are David Wright and Travis d’Arnaud. Both of them are on the DL.
If You’re Cheap:
Danny Duffy, Royals ($7,300): Believe it or not, Duffy has owned the Tigers in his brief career. Current Tigers are hitting just .184 with 21 strikeouts in 87 at bats off of the young lefty. Alfredo Simon has struggled against the Royals, so Duffy has a pretty good shot at the extra four points for a win.
Catchers:
Best Bet:
Russell Martin, Blue Jays ($3,200): Martin has never faced Indians starter T.J. House, but I like his chances against a left that is boasting a 12.60 ERA through four starts.
If You’re Cheap:
Roberto Perez, Indians ($2,200): Perez has filled in nicely for Yan Gomes. Daniel Norris is having a tough first month in the majors, and Perez is averaging nearly three points per game in FanDuel scoring. That makes him a great bargain.
Next: Let's Move On To The Infield

First Base:
Best Bet:
Miguel Cabrera, Tigers ($4,900): Miggy is the only Tiger hitting better than .250 off of Danny Duffy. He is at .278 with three doubles, six walks, and four RBI. He has never taken Duffy out of the park, but he has consistently got on base against him.
If You’re Cheap:
Eric Hosmer, Royals ($3,100): Hosmer has only faced Simon four times, but he has two doubles and an RBI off of him. It’s a small sample size, but a pace he can keep.
Kennys Vargas, Twins ($2,200): Vargas has only faced Chris Sale three times, but he has a two run double in those three at-bats. This kind of power against a power lefthanded pitcher is hard to ignore for the bottom price in the game.
Second Base:
Best Bet:
Robinson Cano, Mariners ($3,500): Cano is 6 for 19 off of Scott Feldman with a double and two RBI. He is a strong bet for points tonight.
If You’re Cheap:
Brandon Phillips, Reds ($2,500): Phillips is the only Reds hitter (besides the injured Devin Mesoraco) who has held his own against Shelby Miller. Phillips is 6 for 17 with a double and a homer off of Miller. The veteran consistently gets the best of the youngster right now, and is a strong bet tonight.
Shortstop:
Best Bet:
Jose Iglesias, Tigers ($2,600): This is what the Tigers envisioned when they traded for Iglesias before last season. He has never faced Duffy, but with the way he is hitting right now, I would trust him against anyone.
If You’re Cheap:
Andrelton Simmons, Braves ($2,500): Simmons is five for ten off of Mike Leake in his career. He has not driven in a run, and only one of those hits (a double) went for extra bases, but singles still count as points.
Third Base:
Best Bet:
Kyle Seager, Mariners ($3,100): Seager is four for nine with four walks against Scott Feldman. He only has one extra base hit (a double) and one RBI, but getting on base eight out of 13 times looks really good for your FanDuel lineup.
If You’re Cheap:
Danny Valencia, Blue Jays ($2,400): The current Toronto roster has only six at-bats off of T.J. House. Valencia has three of those and both hits off of House by the current Toronto roster. One of those was a solo homer.
Next: Which Outfielders Make For The Best Plays?
wer

Outfield:
Best Bets:
Jose Bautista, Blue Jays ($5,000): Bautista is hitting in the middle of the highest scoring offense in the majors against the left handed starter with the worst ERA in the majors. You see where this is going…..
Bryce Harper, Nationals ($4,200): Harper has only faced deGrom three times, but he singled and walked off of him. Maybe this time he can do more, especially seeing how the Yankees teed of on deGrom last week.
George Springer, Astros ($3,900): Let’s forget his awful start to the season. Springer is on a tear right now, and has got his average back near the Mendoza line. He has had three games of more than 8 fantasy points in his last five games. He is tied for the AL lead in stolen bases with 8, and has three homers. I wouldn’t want to face him right now.
If You’re Cheap:
Michael Cuddyer, Mets ($2,600): Cuddyer is four for 12 of of Strasburg with an RBI in his career. He is one of the few in that lineup that has had any kind of success against Strasburg.
Adam Eaton, White Sox ($2,600): Eaton is two for six with an RBI off of Twins starter Trevor May. He is coming around after a slow start, and there is no part of me that trusts the Twins’ pitching staff. Eaton could be a sneaky source of points.
