Danny Shelton was so excited to be drafted by the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night that he wanted to show Roger Goodell how much he loved him

With the No. 11 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns went the way of defensive line, drafting defensive tackle Danny Shelton out of Washington. Shelton is considered one of the more ferocious defensive linemen in this draft class, although when his name was called, he was anything but ferocious.

Well, he was only ferocious in the way he greeted Roger Goodell when he got to the stage.

Now generally when a player gets to the podium to take his new jersey and hat from Goodell, there’s a handshake involved and some sort of small, awkward hug.

This hug was not small by any means, but it was definitely a little awkward for the commish.

You know, that might be one of the happiest people that we have ever seen to be drafted by the Browns. But hey, when he’s not on the field, Shelton is one of the more lovable characters that you can ask for. This gesture right here showed it.

Browns fans are hoping now they can see a lot more lifting like that, but instead of it being a hug, it’ll be slamming quarterbacks to the ground.
