Starling Marte began his career with the Pirates in 2012, and he played a total of 47 games. He finished the season with a .257 batting average and added 5 home runs and 17-RBI. His production has increased since he first entered the league. He batted .280 in 2013 with 12 home runs, 35-RBI, and 41 stolen bases. His numbers increased even more heading into 2014, as he batted .291 with 13 home runs and 56-RBI.
Starling Marte was picked to have a break-out season in 2015, and he has began to live up to those expectations. Marte has only hit .247 thus far in 2015, but he has hit six home runs and has 17-RBI. Marte’s recent string of games have been his best. Marte has all of his home runs in his past 10 games, and he has the bulk of his RBI in that streak too.
Marte has had a boom of production recently, as I previously stated. Marte needs to be on your fantasy team right now! You need to trade for this guy if you don’t have him because his production is only going to increase.

Marte has shifted from a lead-off role to a middle of the lineup man. He is consistently batting fifth or sixth in the Pirates lineup, which is going to increase his opportunities to drive in runs. Marte is going to be a huge run producer and run scorer.
I cannot stress this enough, if you have the assets to trade for Marte, GO DO IT!!!
