Shane Robinson of the Minnesota Twins faked spilling his water cup onto the lap of his teammate Eduardo Escobar on Sunday

Really, Minnesota Twins? This is what passes for a baseball prank nowadays? This is what passes for comedy these days? Sheesh!

Faking a water spill on your teammate’s lap, Shane Robinson? Sure, it might be a cute gesture towards a five-year-old. But it’s just not funny. You decide for yourself, though. Here’s the quick video.

Maybe it’s funnier within the given context. The only thing that really makes sense is that it was a balmy 81 degrees in Minneapolis on Sunday–which for our northern friends is a heat wave. Then again, if that’s the basis shouldn’t Escobar want the water dumped on him?

Who knows! What is readily apparent is that after the crazy, insane sports day we had Saturday, Sunday has been quiet, dull and boring. Yawn!

It’s pretty apparent that Robinson and the rest of the Twins have too much time on their hands, or maybe not enough if this is the best that they can come up with.
