My Favorite FanDuel GPP Lineup

Pitcher

Alex Wood, v. PHI ($7,700) – Wood hasn’t hit double-digit fantasy points in his last three starts on FanDuel, however, I think he can get it tonight against Philadelphia. Alex Wood in his last start at Philadelphia he only scored 6 fantasy points, which should make him a really contrarian play for tonight’s slate.

Catcher

Kurt Suzuki, v. OAK ($2,200) – This is a spot I originally had Yadier Molina in but Yadi was given the day off today. If you want you can play Tony Cruz here, but I like the fact that Suzuki is hitting 5th tonight.

1st Baseman

Adrian Gonzalez, at MIL ($4,300) – Gonzalez will bat clean up for the Dodgers in a favorable hitters park. Plus, we have to adore the matchup for Gonzalez today as he will go head-to-head against Kyle Lohse. Lohse has already given up 8 home runs in just 5 starts.

2nd Baseman

Stephen Drew, at TOR ($2,200) – Stephen Drew has been awful considering that he has not gotten a hit in his last 9 at bats . However, usually that’s a formula for me to play him and then I saw the Yankees’ lineup today. Drew will be hitting 5th in the Yankees lineup today, which makes him a lock for a cheap second baseman play.

3rd Baseman

Alex Rodriguez, at TOR ($3,400) – Rodriguez is hitting really well against R.A. Dickey in his career and it should continue in tonight’s slate. Alex will hit in the three spot for the Yankees but there is some risk. A-rod might see multiple walks tonight because Mark Teixeira has the day off, leaving Rodriguez unprotected.

Shortstops

Jhonny Peralta, v. CHC ($2,500) – Peralta isn’t hitting the greatest at the moment, but I love that he’s hitting cleanup today. Peralta should be able to hit well and is clearly going to be expected to if the Cardinals are going to win.

Outfielders

Matt Holliday, v. CHC ($3,500) – Holliday is 15-for-40 against Travis Wood in his career and he’s also hit four career home runs against Wood. Holliday only has one home run so far this season and feels due.

Jacoby Ellsbury, at TOR ($4,200) – Ellsbury has been as consistent as they come and he hasn’t been hitting the home runs. He consistently gets it done with stolen bases, hits and runs.

Giancarlo Stanton, at WAS ($4,900) – Stanton has hit 3 home runs against Jordan Zimmerman in his MLB career. Stanton is likely going to be highly owned tonight, but he is definitely worth it with his three home runs and batting over 260.
