There are three games in the turbo tournaments tongiht. That leaves us plenty of choices to build a winning team. The most important part of this team is the pitcher. Winning and losing is often based on picking the right pitcher!

Here is my Turbo FanDuel lineup for May 8:
Pitchers:
Best Bet:
Jason Hammel, Cubs ($8,100): Hammel has done well against the Brewers. This year, the Brewers have been one of the worst offenses in the majors. None of the six pitchers for the turbo tournaments have been dominant against the teams they are facing, but Hammel would seem to be the best bet.
Honorable Mention:
Jason Marquis, Reds ($6,100): Marquis has had three straight strong starts. Tonight he gets a White Sox team that hasn’t exactly set the world afire offensively. Better yet, the opposing pitcher is Hector Noesi, who has been hit hard this year. Marquis might have the best chance at a win tonight, which makes him a nice option.
Stay Away:
Hector Noesi, White Sox ($6,400): Noesi is 0-3 with a 6.75 ERA this year. Now he gets to face a dangerous Reds offense. Those of you waiting for Carlos Rodon to join the rotation might not have to wait much longer if Noesi gets torched again, which is a distinct possibility. The current Reds are 4-7 with a homer off of him.
Catchers:
Best Bet:
Yasmani Grandal, Dodgers ($3,200): Grandal won a lot of people money in the early tournaments yesterday with his 20 fantasy point outburst. Most of the damage was done in the eighth and ninth innings too! Now he gets to go to Coors Field, the great launching pad of the American West. Play him if you have the funds.
If You’re Cheap:
Devin Mesoraco, Reds ($2,500): Mesoraco will make his long-awaited return as the DH in an AL Park. On top of that, he gets to face Hector Noesi. He is a solid plan B.
Next: How Does The Infield Look?

First Base:
Best Bet:
Justin Morneau, Rockies ($4,000): Morneau is 4-12 with a solo homer lifetime off of Brett Anderson from his days with the Chicago White Sox. He could send one deep at Coors Field as well.
If You’re Cheap:
Adam Lind, Brewers ($3,300): Lind has teed off on Jason Hammel. He is 6-20 with a walk, a double, two homers, and five RBI. On top of that, Lind has been hot most of the season. He is a strong play at a low price tonight.
Adam LaRoche, White Sox ($2,500): LaRoche is 11-38 with two walks, two doubles, three homers, and five RBI in his career off of Jason Marquis. He is a strong bet to get the better of this matchup once again.
Second Base:
Best Bet:
Justin Turner, Dodgers ($3,200): Turner has only faced Eddie Butler nine times, but he has six hits and a walk in those nine at bats. Of those six hits, two were doubles. He has yet to drive in a run off of him, but he is a strong bet to at least score you a run if he is on base two out of every three times up!
If You’re Cheap:
Scooter Gennett, Brewers ($2,400): Gennett is two for five with a walk and an RBI off of Cubs starter Jason Hammel. If you need to save money, he is a sneaky option.
Shortstop:
Best Bet:
Troy Tulowitzki, Rockies ($5,100): He has never faced Brett Anderson, but Tulo hits lefties hard. Especially at Coors Field at night. No shortstop has an extensive history against their opponents tonight. Sometimes you just have to go with the best available.
If You’re Cheap:
Zack Cozart, Reds ($2,500): Cozart was riding a nice little hot streak before a wrist injury sidelined him for most of this week. He is back in there tonight against Hector Noesi. I have highlighted Noesi’s struggles in this entire piece. You know how good of an option Reds hitters are by now.
Third Base:
Kris Bryant, Cubs ($3,700): Bryant has only faced Jimmy Nelson three times, but his only hit off of him was an RBI double. Round 1 went to Bryant even though Nelson won the game. Stay tuned for round two!
If You’re Cheap:
Juan Uribe, Dodgers ($2,800): Uribe has been losing a lot of at bats lately, but he will get a shot at the hot corner tonight. He needs to hit to stay in the lineup. He is a solid option simply because of Coors Field.
Next: Let's Check the OF

Outfield:
Best Bets:
Joc Pederson, Dodgers ($4,800): Pederson clobbered the Brewers, putting up 18 fantasy points in the three game series. Now he takes his hot bat to Coors Field. He has only faced Eddie Butler twice, but his one hit was an RBI double.
Alex Guerrero, Dodgers ($3,600): The rookie is making it hard for the Dodgers to keep him out of the lineup. Injuries in the outfield to Carl Crawford and Yasiel Puig have opened the door for Guerrero. Now he looks to make his first trip to Coors Field a memorable one.
Billy Hamilton, Reds ($3,500): His speed makes him a strong play in FanDuel. Especially against a team like the White Sox, who allow quite a few steals.
Jorge Soler, Cubs ($3,000): Soler is four for nine with three doubles off of Jimmy Nelson. One of these days, one of those doubles is going to carry over the fence. He obviously sees the ball well off of the Brewers youngster.
If You’re Cheap:
Gerardo Parra, Brewers ($2,400): Parra is 8-22 with two walks and an RBI off of Jason Hammel. He has yet to take him for extra bases, but Parra is still a strong low priced option tonight.
Chris Coghlan, Cubs ($2,300): Coghlan is also 4-9 off of Jimmy Nelson. However, he has two doubles and has taken him deep. He is one of the most sneaky low-priced plays.
