Twitter explodes over Knicks’ draft woes
The Knicks fall to the number four pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, Twitter reacts.
Ah, the New York Knicks. These days it seems like they can’t do anything right. That trend continued on Tuesday night.
The Knicks, who have not won a championship since the 1972-1973 season, had the second-worst record in the NBA this year at 17-65. As owners of the second-worst record in the league, they resultantly had the second-highest number of ping pong balls in the lottery, giving them the second-best odds to get the number one pick.
Unfortunately for the Knicks, they didn’t get the first pick. Or the second. Or the third. No, instead they ended up with the fourth pick.
All of these Knicks fans who were hoping to bring Karl Anthony-Towns or Jahlil Okafor to the Big Apple, you’ll have to pray for a wild trade or unprecedented front office stupidity from the teams ahead of them.

Not only were they trolled by their hometown paper, the New York Daily News, they were also destroyed on Twitter. Take a look at the greatness below.
As for how the rest of the teams fared, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the team with the highest draft odds, landed the first overall pick. The Los Angeles Lakers got the second pick and the Philadelphia 76ers the third.
According to most mock drafts, it looks as though Frank Kamisky, the Wisconsin phenom, is the pick most likely to end up in New York. Whomever they choose, we know Knicks Twitter will not disappoint.
