Bret Bielema has a response for SEC scheduling critics

Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema had a pretty nice response to critics of the SEC scheduling
People from around the country are critical of the SEC on a lot of matters, but one of the matters at the forefront as of late is the scheduling. More specifically, folks would like to see the conference get on board with some of the others and play a nine-game schedule as opposed to eight, which they’re pretty adamant on sticking to.
Well, Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema, never at a loss for words, had a response to these people.
At the SEC spring meetings on Tuesday, the subject of the nine-game schedule was brought up and Bielema had a pretty swift, yet simple response.
Of course, that’s the general argument among people that support the SEC and their insistence on staying at eight games. Regarded by a lot of people as the best overall, top-to-bottom college football conference in the country, one extra game would seriously hinder the chances of getting a team in the College Football Playoff under certain circumstances.
It’s an issue that probably won’t go away anytime soon, especially considering that more conferences are moving to nine games per season. In a few years, the Big Ten will be making the move as well.
What say you, college football fans? Is Bielema and the rest of the SEC supporters right?
