Falcons waive alleged dog-killer Prince Shembo
After being arrested on charges of felony animal cruelty, the Atlanta Falcons have waived linebacker Prince Shembo.
Prince Shembo has been kicked to the curb by the Atlanta Falcons.
After being drafted out of Notre Dame in the fourth round in 2014, it looked like Shembo had a promising future with the Atlanta Falcons.
However, he was arrested on charges of felony animal cruelty, and as a result, Shembo has been waived by the Falcons.
Shembo allegedly kicked the Yorkshire Terrier of his ex-girlfriend, which resulted in severe internal injuries for the dog, which ended up dying as a result.
It’s certainly one of the most disgusting stories to come out of the league, and it’s been happening a lot in the NFL lately with players getting arrested for domestic violence.
To kill a dog out of anger is one of the lowest and most cowardly acts a person commit. Considering the fact it was a Yorkshire Terrier, which weighs no more than a pair of shoelaces, really shows how terrible and appalling the situation is.
No dog deserves to be treated like that, and the Falcons wasted no time in making the right move by releasing Shembo. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Atlanta has had to deal with an animal cruelty situation, and they were well equipped to handle this one.
The list of bad stories continue to come out about the violent actions of NFL players off the field, and Prince Shembo is the latest case. What was once a promising talent out of college, is now facing felony charges and if convicted could face serious consequences.
The wave of violence continues off the field for the National Football League.
