14 of the 15 games today are part of the big tournaments. That leaves us plenty of hitters to choose from. Who has the best history against their opponents today? Let’s take a look at that angle to help us put together a lineup that will get us in the money.

NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some pitchers going today have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science. I just provide the facts.
First Base:
Best Bet:
Adrian Gonzalez, Dodgers ($3,900): Gonzalez is 6 for 17 with a walk off of Cardinals veteran John Lackey. However, only one of those hits went for extra bases (a double). He has still driven in four runs, so I would feel good about using him if you want to spend at 1B.
If You’re Cheap:
Wilin Rosario, Rockies ($3,100): Cole Hamels has dominated all of the rest of Rosario’s teammates, but he has not had the best of luck against the young slugger. Rosario is 6 for 15 with two homers and four RBI off of Hamels in his career.
Second Base:
Best Bet:
Brian Dozier, Twins ($3,900): Dozier has only faced Mark Buehrle three times, but he has two hits, including a double. What really puts this over the top is what he does to left handed pitching. He has 18 hits in 65 at bats (.277) off of lefties this year with six doubles, a triple, three homers, six walks, and seven RBI. The chances are very good that he puts up crooked numbers tonight.
If You’re Cheap:
Dustin Pedroia, Red Sox ($3,200): Pedroia is 4 for 9 with a double and a homer off of Rangers starter Yovani Gallardo. You have a 50/50 shot of getting good points from him, which is better odds than most.
Shortstop:
Best Bet:
Erick Aybar, Angels ($2,700): With most of the high dollar shortstops either struggling against tonight’s opponent or having insufficient statistical data, Aybar seems to be the most supported. He has two singles in six at bats off of Anibal Sanchez, but the thing that makes him look better is that he is sitting atop a good hitting lineup that is facing a pitcher that has given up 14 runs in his last two starts.
If You’re Cheap:
J.J. Hardy, Orioles ($2,200): Hardy has been a disappointment so far in 2015, but maybe he can get it going against Nathan Karns. He has only faced him twice, but has a single and a home run off of him. Chances are that Karns will finally get him out this time, but I would say it’s just as likely that Hardy gets another knock.
Third Base:
Best Bet:
Kyle Seager, Mariners ($3,700): The Mariners as a whole have hit Trevor Bauer well (.306). Seager has definitely added to that total, going 3 for 6 with a double and an RBI off of the Indians youngster. One of these times he will really get a hold of one. He is worth taking a shot on tonight.
If You’re Cheap:
Alberto Callaspo, Dodgers ($2,200): Callaspo saw Lackey 17 times when they were both in the American League, and he collected six hits off of him. One was a double and one was a homer, but he impressive total is the five RBI. I am guessing that the Dodgers go with Callaspo tonight considering his history against Lackey. If you are short on cash, you should consider it as well.

Catcher:
All of the good options at catcher tonight are cheap. The most expensive is Carlos Ruiz at $2,400 who is four for five off of the Rockies’ Chad Bettis. Only one of those hits went for extra bases (a double), but he did drive in a run, and you won’t complain about that kind of production for that price. Next up is Mike Zunino, who is 2 for 5 with a double and a solo home run off of Trevor Bauer. Not bad for a $2,300 investment. If you find yourself really strapped for cash, the Braves’ A.J. Pierzynski is at the bargain price of $2,200. He boasts five hits in 18 at bats off of Tim Hudson with a double and three RBI.
Outfield:
Best Bets:
Nelson Cruz, Mariners ($4,500): Believe it or not, Mike Trout is just 1-7 off of Anibal Sanchez, so top billing goes to Cruz. He has only faced Bauer three times, but he has two hits, both for extra bases. They were a double and a solo home run.
Yoenis Cespedes, Tigers ($3,400): Cespedes is 4 for 11 off of Hector Santiago with two walks. Two of those four hits are home runs, and he has drven in three runs. He is a strong bet tonight against the Angels.
Marlon Byrd, Reds ($3,100): Byrd is 6 for 19 with a walk, a double, a homer, and a whopping six RBI off of Stephen Strasburg. With the way Strasburg has struggled lately, Byrd is a strong bet to do some more damage.
Cameron Maybin, Braves ($3,000): Maybin is 10 for 25 off of Tim Hudson with three walks, a double, a homer and six RBI. If the Braves get to Hudson, you can bet Maybin will have something to do with it.
If You’re Cheap:
Nick Markakis, Braves ($2,600): Markakis has only faced Hudson five times, but he has four hits. Of course, they were all singles, but if you are short on cash, points are points.
Marcell Ozuna, Marlins ($2,600): Ozuna is one of the very few that have had success off of Matt Harvey. Ozuna is 4 for 9 with a triple and two RBI off of the Mets phenom in his young career.
Matt Joyce, Angels ($2,400): Joyce has pounded Anibal Sanchez. He is 5 for 15 off of him with a double, two triples, a homer, and trhee RBI. Of course, he has struck out five times, but that won’t hurt you in FanDuel.
