While in 3rd and with a chance to win, Kyle Busch’s day came to an end as he got in a wreck with the much slower Brian Scott, who he was trying to pass.
Busch trying to get around Scott ended up with both drivers getting into the wall.
Neither driver wanted to see the other wreck.
In NASCAR, toward the end of races, slower cars give way to the much faster ones who are competing for a win, so seeing Busch end up in a wreck with Scott is disappointing since Busch was having his best run since returning from injury.
Luckily, Busch was okay and both drivers spoke and cleared the air about what happened after the wreck.
It’s hard to tell whose fault it was, but both have had their day ended as a result. Even worse, it came at the worst time for Jimmie Johnson, as he was just about to pass Kevin Harvick for the lead at Dover.
As a result, Johnson had to stay in second after the caution.
