All 15 games are in the big tournaments tonight, which gives us 30 pitchers to choose from. Who do the statistics say is the best bet? Let’s find out!

More from FanDuel

NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science. I just provide the facts.

Here are my FanDuel pitcher picks for June 5:

High Dollar ($7,600 and up):

Best Bet:

Tyson Ross, Padres ($9,000): You want dominance? Ross has displayed that against the Reds. Cincinnati is hitting just .118 off of him in 68 at bats with a whopping 19 strikeouts. The only current Red to drive in a run off of him is Brandon Phillips, who has two. That said, he is 1 for 10 in his career against Ross. No one on the Cincinnati roster has been ableo to touch Ross. He is easily the best bet of the night.

Honorable Mention:

Jake Odorizzi, Rays ($8,600): Odorizzi has handcuffed the Mariners as well. They are hitting just .185 off of him in 54 at bats with 14 strikeouts. Justin Ruggiano managed to take him deep once, and the current team has actually scored three runs off of him. That it dominance, but just a shade below what Ross has done.

Stay Away:

Jose Quintana, White Sox ($7,600): Quintana has had his hands full against the Tigers in his career. The current team is hitting .327 off of him in 168 career at bats with six homers and 25 runs scored. Yoenis Cespedes has been particularly rough on Quintana. He is six for nine with four homers and nine RBI off of Quintana. Stay far away from this one and load up on Tigers for your hitters, except for J.D. Martinez, who is just 1 for 11 lifetime against him. Everyone else is fair game.

Next: Who Is The Best Mid Range Option?

Mid Range ($6,500-$7,500):

Best Bet:

Tsuyoshi Wada, Cubs ($6,700): Wada was largely a mess in the majors last year, but he has given up just four runs in his three starts this year at the major league level. One of those starts came against the Nationals back on May 25th. The only blemish off of Wada in 5.1 innings was a solo home run by Denard Span. Wada has yet to really go deep into a game, but if you run out of money, he is a solid middle of the pack option tonight.

Honorable Mention:

Kyle Gibson, Twins ($6,500): Gibson has faced the Brewers once so far in his career. He did pretty well, giving up two runs in five innings, but he failed to strike out a batter. Gibson has fared much better in the majors this year as a whole though, so we can expect a few more counting stats for him tonight if you want to spend big on bats.

Stay Away:

J.A. Happ, Mariners ($7,200): Happ has not pitched well agianst the Rays in his career. They are hitting .326 off of him in 86 at bats with eight walks and only 11 strikeouts. Happ was able to limit the damage back on May 26th, but he only struck out three and had runners on base in all of his six innings. The fact that he is facing off against Jake Odorizzi doesn’t help his cause either.

Next: Are There Any Great Bargains Tonight?

Cheap Options ($6,400 and under):

Best Bet:

Tanner Roark, Nationals ($5,600): Roark has toiled mostly out of the bullpen this year, but the injury to Stephen Strasburg has opened up a spot in the rotation. Roark likely won’t be able to go very deep into the game tonight, but you can’t argue with his success against the Cubs. The current Cubs roster is hitting only .217 off of him in 60 at bats with two runs scored. Kris Bryant is responsible for one of those, as he is the only current Cub to take him deep.

Honorable Mention:

Shaun Marcum, Indians ($6,400): Marcum has pitched well against current Orioles in his career. They are hitting just .214 off of him in 56 at bats. Adam Jones has hit him well, but other than that, Marcum has handled himself. There is risk involved, but Chris Tillman is starting for the Orioles, and he has been known to get knocked around.

Stay Away:

Tom Koehler, Marlins ($6,400): The Rockies have crushed Koehler. They are hitting a Ted Williams-esque .421 off of him in 57 at bats. Only Wilin Rosario (0 for 6) has struggled against Koehler. Everyone else may as well be hitting off a tee.
