Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel was asked to and agreed to sign a baby at a Fan Fest this weekend.
Johnny Manziel isn’t the best decision maker in the world, which is a bad trait for a quarterback in the NFL to have. He’s improved, we think, this offseason but the decision making of Manziel looks stellar compared to the parenting decisions someone made at the Cleveland Browns fan fest this weekend.
Manziel has been in the news recently for throwing a water bottle at a fan who asked him for an autograph and the berated him for being terrible. There’s only one way to come back from that, and it apparently involves signing an autograph on an infant.
At the annual Browns Fan Fest, Johnny Manziel refrained from throwing water bottles at anyone and instead signed a baby.
Not a doll, an actual living and breathing baby.

Athletes have been asked to sign weird things in their careers, but this is way up there in terms of very bad parenting ideas. Not only are you letting someone draw on your child, but that person is Johnny Manziel.
On the list of people that you’d want handling your baby, Johnny Manziel is very low on the list. The man can’t even handle a football without throwing it to the wrong team, so what do you expect him to do with another human life?
Also, what do you expect to do with this piece of memorabilia — sell it? Does the child come with the onesie that was signed or are you going to simply subject this child to possible trauma only to sell the item of memorabilia he suffered to get you?
This upcoming season is a big one for Manziel, as the Browns have Josh McCown to lead the team into a hole that Manziel will be asked to dig them out of. It’s also an important season for his maturity, as he attended rehab to better himself and beat his personal demons.
There’s a football storyline and a human storyline to Johnny Manziel’s season — and both storylines involve something the quarterback will apparently sign his autograph on.
