This time it was Danica Patrick who was the recipient of bad luck at Pocono Raceway.
As Patrick was up running against the wall, she got pushed hard from behind by traffic and as a result cut her back tire.
With no control of the vehicle, Patrick would proceed to hit the wall and smash the back end of her car.
Even worse for Patrick is the wreck came at an inopportune time on the track for her. She was running in 11th at Pocono and was threatening to move up and have one of her strongest finishes this season.
Instead, fate turned cruel and she headed back to the garage struggling along with a car that looked broken in half.
It wasn’t just Patrick that had issues on the lap, as many other drivers including the likes of Joey Logano and Jimmie Johnson, had run-ins with the wall and took a little damage of their own.
The tricky triangle is leaving its mark on the drivers and as this race winds down, several drivers continue to meet their match.
