Axalta 400: Ryan Newman wrecks hard (Video)
The eighth caution of the day came out at the Axalta 400 as Ryan Newman’s day came to an end because of an unfortunate wreck.
Finishing 7th is a lot better than finishing 39th.

Unfortunately for Ryan Newman, he’s going to end up in the latter as a hard fought battle between him and AJ Allmendinger sent him into the wall and destroyed the back end of his car.
What started as a relatively quiet day at Pocono, with 125 miles of green-flag-racing to start, has turned into a demolition derby on the track.
As Newman Allmendinger were battling for 7th, Allmendinger got loose and into the back end of Newman.
Newman would hit the wall with the back of his car and would have to head to the pits for some work before he got back out on the track. For Ryan Newman, this was the worse result that could happen.
Not having a win this season, and hoping to get into “The Chase” based on points, finishing 39th will go a long way in keeping him from getting in. Finishing 7th would have gone a long way toward helping his cause.
Alas, it was not meant to be at Pocono, where the tricky triangle has claimed another.
