Some people take their love for a team a bit too far, but this Indianapolis Colts fan made a tribute to his favorite NFL squad for his wedding that was awesome.

Being a fan of a certain team sometimes takes a toll on a person. Watching a team win or lose and being connected with every single up and down, some people take their team’s success and failures very personally and seriously.

What happens when it affects a marriage? Sometimes sports can bring people together and other times it can pin fans against each other.

In the case of one Indianapolis Colts fan, the team, most notably the home field of Lucas Oil Stadium, helped a marriage happen and a new life begin. John Andrews, a self-proclaimed huge Colts fan, chose Lucas Oil as the destination for a once-in-a-lifetime wedding.

We can only hope that his new wife was happy to be married in front of 67,000 empty seats in the stands and dozens of close family and friends on the field on the 50-yard-line.

While this may seem like only John’s idea, the bride could have easily vetoed the location and picked something much more romantic that would have better suited her and the bridal party.

Weddings are a great time and we can only assume that this one went well. It probably costed a pretty penny, but as a huge Colt’s fan, it was well worth it for Andrews. Heck, it may have even been the wife’s idea to marry at Lucas Oil. I mean, women can like sports, too.

Just check out this hardcore Seahawks bride watching the game at her own wedding reception:

Fans are different creatures who will do almost anything to stay connected to their favorite teams and John Andrews will likely always be remembered as the guy who got married on the Colts’ logo at Lucas Oil Stadium — and I’m sure that’s quite alright with him.

If he got married on the field, I wonder if the wedding reception was held in the locker room with Andrew Luck and T.Y. Hilton in charge of DJ duties.

One can only imagine.
