NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science. I just provide the facts.
Here is my late FanDuel Lineup for June 11:
Pitcher:
Best Bet:
Garrett Richards, Angels ($8,600): Most of the options tonight have had issues against their opponents. Richards is no exception. He has held the Rays to a .230 average in 61 at bats with only one home run, but he has still allowed eight runs to cross the plate. Still, he is a good bet for a win since the Angels got to his opponent, Alex Colome, about two weeks ago.
Honorable Mention:
Wade Miley, Red Sox ($7,300): Believe it or not, Miley has actually done pretty well against the current Orioles roster. They are only hitting .241 off of him in 29 at bats, but he has given up a homer and seven runs. There is risk involved in this one too, but he has to find a way to limit the damage.
Stay Away:
Alex Colome, Rays ($6,200): Colome gave up three homers and five runs in six innings in his start against the Angels on June 1st. There is no reason to believe that there will be any different results ten days later.
Catcher:
Best Bet:
Buster Posey, Giants ($3,700): Posey has rocked Jon Niese in his career. Posey is 7 for 19 with a walk, two doubles, a homer, and two RBI off of Niese in his career. He has a great chance to come up with some crooked numbers again today.
If You’re Cheap:
Wilson Ramos, Nationals ($2,600): Ramos is 3 for 8 with a double off of Matt Garza, but he has also driven in four runs off of him. Jose Lobaton got the nod yesterday, so Ramos should be in the lineup as usual today, and he a good gamble for a low price.
Next: How Does The Infield Look?

First Base:
Best Bet:
Albert Pujols, Angels ($4,000): Pujols hit the first of his two homers on June 1st off of Alex Colome. As hot as Pujols has been in June, he is a strong bet for a repeat performance.
If You’re Cheap:
Wilin Rosario, Rockies ($3,000): Rosario has only faced David Phelps four times in his career, but he has three hits in those four at bats including a double, a homer, and two runs driven in. Track records don’t get much better than that.
Second Base:
Best Bet:
Dustin Pedroia, Red Sox ($3,400): Pedroia is 10 for 38 with three walks, two doubles, and five RBI off of Chris Tillman. The average isn’t great, but the results are still there.
If You’re Cheap:
DJ LeMahieu, Rockies ($3,200): LeMahieu is a perfect 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI off of David Phelps. He isn’t much cheaper than Pedroia, but he should still put up similar numbers.
Shortstop:
Best Bet:
Brandon Crawford, Giants ($2,900): Crawford is 4 for 9 off of Jon Niese with a triple and three RBI. He has not had much trouble hitting Niese despite him being left handed. Crawford looks to be a safe bet tonight.
If You’re Cheap:
J.J. Hardy, Orioles ($2,200): Hardy is 1 for 3 off of Wade Miley. Yes, that is good enough for second best on a light night at shortstop.
Third Base:
Best Bet:
Nolan Arenado, Rockies ($4,000): Arenado only has one hit in five at bats against David Phelps, but that one hit was a two run triple. If he can get a piece of Phelps, chances are it’s going a long way.
If You’re Cheap:
Brock Holt, Red Sox ($2,700): Holt has six hits in eight career at bats off of Chris Tillman. If Holt can find his way into the lineup with Pablo Sandoval back, He could be a nice play at a lower price.
Next: Who Are The Best Outfielders?
May 30, 2015; New York City, NY, USA; New York Mets left fielder Michael Cuddyer (23) bats against the Miami Marlins at Citi Field. Mandatory Credit: Andy Marlin-USA TODAY Sports
Outfield:
Best Bets:
Mike Trout, Angels ($5,000): Trout was one of the ones that hit Colome hard. He slammed a three run homer off of Colome on June 1st. Do you want to bet against him doing it again? I don’t.
Charlie Blackmon, Rockies ($3,700): Blackmon only has three career at bats against David Phelps, but he has come away with two hits. Even if he isn’t knocking balls out of the park, he is still dangerous on the bases.
Carlos Gonzalez, Rockies ($3,600): Gonzalez only has one hit in six at bats off of Phelps, but when that one hit is a three run homer, it makes him worth gambling on.
If You’re Cheap:
Marcell Ozuna, Marlins ($3,100): Ozuna went 2 for 3 with a double in his only other game against Rockies starter Chris Rusin. You could do worse.
Michael Cuddyer, Mets ($2,500): Cuddyer has also done well against Tim Lincecum. He is 7 for 18 with four doubles, a homer, and four RBI off of The Freak. It could be another good day for Cuddyer.
