Richard Sherman made a pretty bold statement on Twitter and Dale Earnhardt Jr. had about as perfect of a response as you could ask for

We all know that sometimes Richard Sherman likes to make statements that can be a tad controversial, and he did that once again recently on Twitter. However, this comment drew the ire of another famous athlete–NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr.

For whatever reason, Sherman took to his Twitter account and posted a message about how he’s of the belief that football players have to be the most mentally prepared athletes in the world.

Sherman is definitely entitled to his opinion, and he probably does genuinely believe that this is true. However, for as many people agree with him on this, there are a number of people that disagree. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was one of the people in disagreement and he had no qualms in letting Sherman know about it.

Well, you really can’t argue with Earnhardt on this one. Even for those that aren’t the biggest fans of NASCAR, you simply can’t deny the mental skill that it takes to do the work in these cars that they do on a weekly basis.

Then again, any professional athlete could make a case that their sport requires the largest amount of concentration and skill. This could be a debate that goes on forever.
