As we’ve noted before, Carmelo Anthony is both a businessman and a business, man. The other week we told you about how he wanted to buy a Puerto Rican soccer team, and just a few days ago, he completed the deal.

One of the reasons he enjoys playing in New York for the Knicks, is because it offers him numerous avenues to pursue outside of basketball. Like, for instance, becoming the creative director of “Turtles by Melo,” a line of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles products. Or, our preferred name: Teenage Carmelo Ninja Turtles.

From The Hollywood Reporter:

"The New York Knicks star and self-professed Turtles super-fan will serve as creative director of Turtles by Melo, a consumer products line inspired by the Nickelodeon franchise. It is expected to span lifestyle products, home furnishings, publishing, video games and more. Turtles by Melo is set to debut in the spring 2016, ahead of the summer theatrical release of Viacom-owned Paramount Pictures’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, in which Anthony has a cameo.“The Turtles were a big part of my childhood. I have been connecting with the brand for a long time,” Anthony, 31, tells The Hollywood Reporter. Nowadays, “I watch with my son,” who is 8, he adds."

Oh hell yeah, love to connect with #brands.

But seriously, jokes aside, this is pretty cool for Carmelo. Making moves in the business world is Carmelo’s thing, and when he gets to do it with a show he loved and now watches with his son, what could be better?

Get that money, Melo, and keep building your #brand.
