Why is UFC 188 on FX, not FOX Sports?

An explanation of why the UFC 188 prelims are airing on FX instead of FOX Sports 1 like usual.

For fans tuning into UFC 188, they probably noticed that the prelims weren’t being shown on FOX Sports 1 like usual. Instead, the prelims are airing on FX.

FOX has the broadcasting rights to the FIFA Women’s World Cup and there is soccer action going on Saturday night as well, but the night time game will be airing on FOX Sports 2.

Instead, FOX Sports 1 is airing NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. That race has pre-empted the UFC and bumped the card to FX.
