This weekend at Michigan International Speedway, he has his best shot of the season as he is the pole sitter for Sunday’s Quicken Loans 400. Kahne won the final round of qualifying as he just barely edged out Kevin Harvick, who will be starting outside him.
For the second week in a row, Harvick was the fastest driver in the first two rounds of qualifying, but once again he was unable to hold onto the top spot once the final round began. Harvick has finished second the past two races, and this Sunday, he will be a strong contender to win.
Kahne will have some help up front with him, as Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon will also reside in the top-8 once the race gets underway. Dale Earnhardt Jr., who has had previous success at Michigan, will sit just outside the top-10.
For those looking to watch this weeks race, but can’t from home, here is how to watch via a live stream.
