2014 was not a season that SEC fans want to remember all that vividly. For the first time since 2005, the conference did not compete for the national championship. The Alabama Crimson Tide were the only team from the conference to make it in to the College Football Playoff, however they were upset in a big way by the Ohio State Buckeyes.
That’s what makes 2015 so interesting for the conference that’s still regarded as the best overall in the game of college football. All of the teams will be vying to make sure that they can bring the title back to the south. However, before they can get to that point, they must first win the coveted SEC Championship.
Despite not having anyone set at the quarterback position right now, Alabama is considered the favorite in the conference once again heading into 2015. With Nick Saban leading the charge, Alabama will be considered the favorite most years.
Right behind the Tide in the recent odds that were released by Sportsbook are the rival Auburn Tigers, who are coming into 2015 with what they hope will be a revamped defense, thanks to new defensive coordinator Will Muschamp.
