10 of the 15 games are in the evening today, so that leaves us more options to pick on statistical analysis. Who are the best ones? Let’s check it out!

NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science. I just provide the facts.
Here is my late FanDuel lineup for June 18th:
Pitcher:
Best Bet:
Zack Greinke, Dodgers ($10,400): Greinke spent significant time in the American League, so he is no stranger to the Texas Rangers. He has held them to a .195 batting average in 113 at bats with 34 strikeouts. They have scored 13 runs off of him, but one player has done most of that damage. Stay tuned!
Honorable Mention:
Clay Buchholz, Red Sox ($8,300): Buchholz has pitched very well against the current Braves team. They are hitting just .194 off of him in 72 at bats with just five runs scored. The 14 strikeouts is a little low, but you can’t deny how dominant those numbers are.
Stay Away:
Mat Latos, Marlins ($6,300): Latos was a disaster in April, but has been marginally better since. The problem is that tonight he gets the Yankees. While the team itself is rather unfamiliar to him, the players on it are not. The current Bombers have bombed Latos to the tune of a .278 average in 108 at bats. Not terrible, but the five homers and 14 runs driven in are cause for concern. Stay away from this one.
Catcher:
Best Bet:
Brian McCann, Yankees ($3,500): McCann saw plenty of Latos when he was with Atlanta. He is 4 for 13 with four walks, three doubles, and three RBI off of Latos. He never got a chance to face him with that short porch in right field though. McCann could add a few more counting stats to that list tonight.
If You’re Cheap:
A.J. Pierzynski, Braves ($2,500): Pierzynski is the only guy who has had any kind of success against Buchholz on the whole Atlanta team. Pierzynski is 6 for 12 with a double and two RBI off of him, but he may not have many teammates running around on the bases tonight.
Next: Let's Check The Infield
May 6, 2015; Milwaukee, WI, USA; Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Adam Lind (24) during the game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Miller Park. Milwaukee won 6-3. Mandatory Credit: Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports
First Base:
Best Bet:
Adam Lind, Brewers ($2,500): Lind has torched Jeremy Guthrie in his career. Lind is 17 for 47 with two walks, three doubles, a triple, a home run, and two RBI off of him in his career. That makes him one of the better bets of the night.
Honorable Mention:
Joey Votto, Reds ($4,100): Votto doesn’t have much of a of history against Justin Verlander, but what little there is looks good. Votto is 1 for 2 with a double and a walk off of Verlander. I wouldn’t bet against more tonight.
Second Base:
Best Bet:
Jason Kipnis, Indians ($4,600): Again, there isn’t much history here. Kipnis has only faced Jason Hammel in one game, but in those three at bats, he hit a two run home run.
If You’re Cheap:
Neil Walker, Pirates ($2,500): Walker is only 5 for 25 off of Jeff Samardzija, but he has also walked three times, tripled, and homered off of him. On top of that, he has driven in four runs. If he can catch ahold of a Samardzija offering, he could be a nice bargain today.
Shortstop:
Best Bet:
Jose Reyes, Mets ($3,800): Reyes is 4 for 6 with a walk and an RBI off of Bartolo Colon. If he is on base that much, it will be hard for him to not at least attempt a steal. It could be a nice night for Reyes.
If You’re Cheap:
Elvis Andrus, Rangers ($2,600): Considering the opponent is Zack Greinke, his numbers are not all that terrible against him. Elvis is 4 for 14 with a walk and a double off of Greinke. Look for him to try to change the game if he winds up on base again. That could make him a nice play at this price.
Third Base:
Best Bet:
Todd Frazier, Reds ($4,800): Frazier is only 1 for 3 in his only game against Justin Verlander, but that one was a two run single. Bottom line: Frazier has been hot, and Verlander is making just his second start of the season. This could be worth the gamble.
If You’re Cheap:
Evan Longoria, Rays ($3,000): Longoria is 3 for 10 with a walk and an RBI off of Doug Fister. This will be Fister’s first start back from the disabled list. Longoria could be a really nice option tonight.
Next: Who Rules The Outfield?
Jun 16, 2015; Pittsburgh, PA, USA; Pittsburgh Pirates center fielder Andrew McCutchen (22) waits to bat in the on-deck circle against the Chicago White Sox during the eighth inning in an inter-league game at PNC Park. The Pirates won 3-0. Mandatory Credit: Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports
Outfield:
Best Bets:
Andrew McCutchen, Pirates ($4,600): McCutchen is 12 for 29 with five walks off of Samardzija. He also has five doubles, but only two RBI. What does that matter if he is on base half the time though. He has a long history of success against Samardzija.
Brandon Moss, Indians ($3,500): Moss has never and will never hit for a high average, so the 3 for 7 clip with a double and a RBI is a little bit surprising off of Jason Hammel. He is mostly an all or nothing type at the plate, but with this kind of success against someone, he might be worth the risk.
Shin-Soo Choo, Rangers ($2,900): Choo is one of the few that have solved Greinke for the most part. He is 11 for 42 with three walks. That is not impressive, but four doubles, triple, home run, and impressive eight RBI that he owns off of Greinke are.
If You’re Cheap:
Carlos Beltran, Yankees ($2,200): Beltran is 7 for 21 with three walks, a double, three homers, and four RBI off of Mat Latos. The three home runs could result in him being a very nice cheap play tonight.
Ichiro Suzuki, Marlins ($2,200): Ichiro has punished C.C. Sabathia in his career. That alone should land him in the Marlins lineup tonight. The fact that they get a DH won’t hurt either. Ichiro is 21 of 65 with two walks, four doubles, a triple, three homers, and six RBI off of C.C. The three homers is a little surprising considering Ichiro is not known for power. At any rate, he is a strong bet tonight.
