Recently we learned that the University of Texas had actually approved the sales of beer and wine at football games, a decision that has drawn some opinions from both sides of the fence. It has also drawn a lot of jokes, especially seeing as the Texas Longhorns haven’t been lighting the world on fire on the gridiron as of late, and we all know that wherever some good Texas jabs are thrown, the Texas A&M Aggies aren’t too far behind.
Well for this particular jab that was thrown, a pretty prominent member of the Aggies’ administration was the one doing the punching.
Texas A&M chancellor John Sharp was recently asked about serving alcohol at athletic events, and he answered it by throwing a shot the way of the rival Longhorns.
Well now, the microphone was certainly dropped on that one. John Sharp is here to own you, Texas, and there’s nothing that you can do about it.
Although, if we’re focusing on the football field here, Texas A&M should probably be watching it with the shots they take, because for the positive moments they have had, there’s been a downward spiral not too far away.
Still, though, it’s always nice to see the rivalry is still alive with these two. Now if we can only get them back on that football field against each other.
