The MLB Trade Deadline is less than two weeks away, so who are the best pitchers on the market?

Each year around this time, people begin to start speculating on whether their favorite team will be a buyer or seller before the MLB Trade Deadline on July 31. With that deadline approaching, less than two weeks away, it’s our turn to take a look at who we believe will be on the move.

There are some big names on the market this year, like there seem to be each season, and chances are good that these star players will be on the move. Many times in recent memory, a big trade deadline was expected only to see a fraction of the names mentioned moved to a new team.

If a team is far below the .500 mark at this point in the season, it’s safe to say that it’s going to be a seller instead of a buyer. As is the case with the Cincinnati Reds who seem to have everyone on the trade block this year after a mediocre first half to the season.

With about 70 games to go in the regular season, some top contenders are gearing up for what could end up being a World Series run and they will need the help of some of the top available pitchers out there.

This list focuses solely on the arms available at the deadline in a couple of weeks, ranking the top five pitchers available. If a serious contender lands any one of these guys, you can guarantee that it will be making a deep run in the postseason.

Let’s take a look at the top five pitchers available by this year’s trade deadline.
