Many have been wondering what Texas will be doing with their quarterback situation and Charlie Strong shed some light on that recently

Heading into his second season as head coach of the Texas Longhorns, Charlie Strong has a pretty tough task ahead of him to start the year, having to face off against Notre Dame. However, what might be an even bigger dilemma is the quarterback situation, as Strong has yet to name a starter between Jerrod Heard and Tyrone Swoopes.

This has raised some questions as of late as to who the starter will be when the Longhorns take the field against the Irish to get the 2015 campaign underway. Well, it looks like both will be getting some work in.

Strong made his appearance on ESPN this week in preparation of the season, and this is where he revealed that both Heard and Swoopes will be on the gridiron under center when that opener hits.

"“I’m not going to play musical chairs with them. They both are going to play. When we line up in South Bend, whoever is going to start, the other guy is going to play also.”"

So this should be interesting to watch play out, especially since most were of the belief that Swoopes might be getting the nod before the season started. He might start the game against Notre Dame, but we know for sure now that Heard will be getting some work in come game time.

This Texas quarterback situation for 2015 is more intriguing than ever before as we get set to enter the month of August.
