The Michigan vs Ohio State rivalry is one of the more intense rivalries in all of sports. Not many people will question that. However, every once in a while, the rivalry needs to be put to the side and a compromise needs to be made. You know, like when people fall in love and want to get married.

Yes, on Friday ESPN brought us the story of Mike and Stephanie Stout. Mike is a big Ohio State fan, however his bride, Stephanie, happens to be a pretty big Michigan fan in his own right. Because of this, there was a small problem.

But it seems as if Mike realized that the wifey knows best, because their reception was actually held in Michigan Stadium. Or as it’s more affectionately known — The Big House.

Still, though, Mike did what he could to make sure that the Buckeyes were represented.

Now that’s a pretty awesome photo, and it goes to show that the rivalry can indeed not be the most important thing in the world. Stephanie got her wish on her wedding day, so Mike definitely deserves some props in that regard.
