The Internet is a boundless wealth of creativity. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, BOOM! somebody drops a Family Matters-themed Pittsburgh Pirates video, and it’s off to the races.

This video is an absolute trip, and a bit of a mind bend. The simple genius of meshing the Pirates’ with Family Matters plays. Both had strong runs in the early 90s; they each prominently utilize the color yellow; and their stars, when throwing heaters (Urkel/McCutchen) were on top of the industry.

I’m loving the Reginald VelJohnson drive-by (he is one of the greatest fathers in television history). The only problem with this entire video: Family Matters took place in Chicago. It’s kinda weird, especially when the original theme for Family Matters had Eddie wearing a Cubs hat.

Other than that: perfect execution.
