Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor scrambles for 20-yard TD run (video)
Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan may wait until September 13 to officially name his starting quarterback but Tyrod Taylor may have already passed the eye test.
Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan may be playing coy with his starting quarterback situation, but all signs are pointing to Tyrod Taylor being the man to lead the Bills’ offense.
Taylor did not start the Bills’ third preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday but that did not prevent the quarterback from perhaps making the play of the game.
Taylor was the second quarterback to enter the game on Saturday for the Bills. Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Matt Cassel got the start for the Bills on Saturday with Taylor coming in as a replacement. EJ Manuel, who was the Bills’ starting quarterback at the start of the 2014 regular season, was the third quarterback to enter the game for Buffalo on Saturday.
Ryan has yet to name a starting quarterback as the head coach went as far as listing Cassel, Taylor, and Manuel as the team’s No. 1 quarterback slot on their depth chart.
Ryan has indicated that he may wait until September 13 to make a decision but if Taylor keeps making plays like the one he did on Saturday, then the decision for the Bills’ head coach will be an easy one.
