When Week 2 of the college football season takes place next week, College GameDay will be on hand in East Lansing for Oregon vs Michigan State

As sad as this is to take in, we’re just about done with Week 1 of the college football season. The good news is that we still have a lot of this season to go, and the marquee match up in Week 2 will feature the Michigan State Spartans hosting the Oregon Ducks.

While this may come as a shock to some (sarcasm), East Lansing, Michigan is exactly where the College GameDay crew will be headed for their Week 2 home.

All sarcasm aside, even before the season started this was pretty much a given that the GameDay crew would be headed there for this match up. This is a game featuring two of the best squads in the country, so it will have the stage all to itself.

These two met last year and it was a game out in Eugene that was won by the Ducks in pretty easy fashion. While Michigan State hung around as long as they could with the eventual Pac-12 champions, Oregon was too much in the second half.

That’s another aspect of this game that makes it so intriguing. This is a game where the Spartans will be out for revenge for what took place in 2014.

It will be a sight to see, there’s no doubt about that. They’ll kick off the game at 8 PM ET in East Lansing, but the festivities get started with College GameDay.
