Kickers

Justin Tucker-Baltimore Ravens (5,200): Tucker has a huge leg and can kick it a mile even when he’s not at altitude.  He’s one of the top kickers in the game and the fact that he and the Ravens are playing in Denver makes him the most expensive option that salary can buy for this week.

Steven Hauschka-Seattle Seahawks (5,100): The Seahawks are in a dome this week as they take on the Rams. I expect a fairly low-scoring game in this NFC West battle, and field goals will be key.  Hauschka is always a nice pick since the Seahawks typically rely on defense and their running game to carry them to victory.

Chandler Catanzaro-Arizona Cardinals (4,700): Catanzaro had a rough preseason, but the Cardinals offense should be much better with Carson Palmer back under center, so I think he’ll be just fine this season kicking in the nice weather in Arizona.

Matt Prater-Detroit Lions (4,700): The Lions had kicker issues last season and landed Matt Prater after Prater was cut from Denver.  While the team doesn’t open in the dome in Detroit, they’re playing in sunny San Diego which makes Prater a solid play.

Brandon McManus-Denver Broncos (4,500): McManus will be kicking for the Broncos this year, but they’re offense tends to result in more extra points than field goals. Still, kicking in Denver makes him one of the best cheap options for week one.
