Cleveland Indians worker sets off fireworks for a Royals home run (Video)
By Josh Hill
A Cleveland Indians worker accidentally set off fireworks for a Kansas City Royals home run and proceeded to get very sad.
When a home team hits a home run, it’s usually something that is celebrated like few other things in life. The roar of the crowd, the trot around the bases and fireworks for the home team are all things that we typically have associated with home team dingers.
Not tonight in Cleveland though.
The fireworks went off in Cleveland to signal that a home run had been hit, but there was one major problem with all of this. The guy circling the bases was wearing a Royals jersey, and the points on the board were going to Kansas City. An Indians worker accidentally set off fireworks for a Royals home run — and immediately proceeded to get really sad about it.
You can’t even get that mad at him either, because he’s clearly distraught over what happened. Whether it’s the fact that he set off the fireworks for the wrong team or that he just hates seeing home runs given up by his favorite team, this is a man who is not going to sleep well tonight.
