The Ohio State Buckeyes are not having the easiest time on Saturday with the Northern Illinois Huskies
Well the Ohio State Buckeyes have apparently had a bit of a scare put into them on Saturday by the Northern Illinois Huskies of the MAC. At the half inside the Horseshoe on Saturday, the score is tied all up at 10.
Of course, the big story in this one is the change of quarterbacks that Urban Meyer had to make. Cardale Jones, who was anointed the starter at the beginning of the season, did not play all that well. The man that led this team on that title stretch last season was just 4-of-9 for 36 yards with two interceptions.
J.T. Barrett (in for Ohio State after Cardale Jones’ 2 interceptions) with his second passing TD of season. He had 34 last season.

From that point, J.T. Barrett was brought in and the immediate effects were seen. The young man that led this team through the regular season last year came in and fired off a touchdown pass to Michael Thomas, bringing a breath of fresh air to this team that desperately needed one. Now, he has to see if he can lead them out of this rut.
Still, the fact remains that the Buckeyes are on the ropes here after two quarters of play. The No. 1 team in the country, who was supposed to take care of business rather easily here on Saturday, has had a scare put into them by one of the most well-known programs in the MAC.
This one is going to get interesting the rest of the way.
