The Indianapolis Colts were picked by almost every pundit in America to go to the Super Bowl before the season. Now, the Colts look like a high school team. On Monday Night Football against the New York Jets at Lucas Oil Stadium, the Colts went into halftime trailing 10-0.

Then after a long drive to begin the third quarter, Colts running back Frank Gore took a handoff from the 1-yard line and had a clear lane into the end zone before inexplicably fumbling. Gore could not recover the ball, which was covered up by Jets corner Darrelle Revis for a touchback.

If this does not sum up what the Colts have looked like through the first two games of the season, nothing does. Indianapolis went into Buffalo in Week 1 and was the odds-on favorite to beat Tyrod Taylor and Co., but fell behind 24-0 and eventually lost 27-14. Indianapolis was brutal throughout the contest, with Andrew Luck throwing the ball 49 times and getting intercepted once.

On Monday night, the Colts have turned the ball over three times and missed a 29-yard field goal in the first quarter. It has been a sloppy performance by a team that looks completely unsure of itself, even with Luck at the helm. The offense was given two more weapons in the offseason in Gore and receiver Andre Johnson, but neither have made a positive impact early on.
