Hawaii Rainbow Warriors vs. No. 22 Wisconsin Badgers

Wisconsin’s offense looks new and improved, even without star running back Corey Clement to help share in the spotlight. The junior running back has just the ball just eight times this year for 16 yards and was knocked out in week one against Alabama. The bad news broke on Thursday afternoon that he would need to undergo hernia surgery and be out 4-to-6 weeks.

In his absence, senior quarterback Joel Stave will need to continue his career-best pace, completing about 67 percent of his passes for 666 yards and six touchdowns with only two interceptions. He looks like a completely different quarterback this season and that is great news for the Badgers.

Replacing Clement won’t be a simple task, but junior running back Dare Ogunbowale will do the job just fine. He has rushed for 196 yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries this year. It seems like Wisconsin just churns out solid running backs.

Hawaii is led by former USC quarterback Max Wittek who transferred after he lost out on the starting job to current Trojans’ star, and Heisman contender, Cody Kessler.

The senior has not been great in his career at Hawaii, but he’s making a conscious effort to make the 2015 season his best yet. He’s currently completing just 50 percent of his passes for 541 yards and five touchdowns with four interceptions. Marcus Kemp has been his No. 1 target this year, catching 12 passes for 238 yards and two scores.

Hawaii’s run game might not be very electric, but junior Paul Harris is having himself quite a season for the Rainbow Warriors, rushing for 261 yards and a touchdown on just 42 carries. He will be a key to success in this one, along with Wittek’s ability to step up on a big stage.
